About Us

Shepshed Foodbank

Our aim is the prevention or relief of poverty in Shepshed and the surrounding area by providing regular food parcels to individuals and families in need.

Our services are required by families or individuals who have hit hard times, mostly those experiencing benefit payment delays, redundancy or illness.  We work in partnership with statutory agencies, health, social work and education to assess client’s needs and give out Food Parcels from the Foodbank Centre which is based at the Glenmore Community Centre, Thorpe Road, Shepshed.

The Food Bank relies entirely on donations of food and money from individuals, local businesses, churches, schools and organisations and every single item or penny given makes a huge difference.

In 2022 the support of local communities and retailers help to feed 3495 adults and 2603 children.  We couldn’t do any of this without your continued support.
